Having just changed laptops because of constant power faults with my last
one, is there any way I can retrieve the messages that were in OE6 from the
original hard drive? I have a USB caddy and have used it to copy all my
documents across, but I really need the emails that were in the various boxes

Search for .dbx files. Include hidden files.
Open OE, File, Import, File| Import| Messages| OE6| Message store
directory, then browse to the location.

The Address Book uses a .wab file. Search for the .wab file.
Open the Address Book. File, Import, .........

I have tried this but get the error that there are no messages. I didn't do
an export or save obviously on the last time my laptop worked before it
failed. Any further suggestions would be appreciated. I'm working my way
through the websites mentioned in the first message. Adrian.

Do you see the dbx files?
Are the dbx files marked Read Only? Unmark Read Only.
Is folders.dbx included?
You may need to take ownership of the drive.
