Can't read e-mails
I have Outlook Exp. set as my default mail server, but everything is going to
Outlook. When I try to open email in Outlook I get a message saying it hasn't been downloaded from the server. Anyone have an idea what's going on? Ever since the auto update from a couple of weeks ago that caused browser and email problems for me, I've been having intermittent problems of various sorts, I don't know if this is related to that update, as it just started this weekend, but I for one am getting fed up with MS! |

Being the default mail program just means that if another program wants
to send an e-mail, it will use the default mail program. Being the default has nothing to do with receiving/downloading mail. Mail gets downloaded into whatever mail program you run. When using a POP3 mail server, by default all messages are deleted from the server after downloading, leaving nothing for another mail program to get. If you want your mail to go into Outlook Express, either stop using Outlook or remove the mail account from Outlook. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "RLM" wrote in message ...
