Removing attachments from archived email?
I am using OE6. Is there a way to remove attachments from email received
so that I can keep the message but without the attachment? Thanks in advance! Fred |

Save the message to the Desktop. File | Save as | Desktop | Save. Open it
with Notepad. Highlight and delete the attachment and drag the message back to a folder in OE. If you get a lot, this tool does this and more. You might find it worthwhile. Thanks -- is there a freeware program that does it?

Maybe I overlooked something -- is there a way using OE6 to do this, without
having to use a 3rd party program? "Fred" wrote in message news:aS9ag.5332$Sh3.2847@trnddc05... Thanks -- is there a freeware program that does it? "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... OE6 can not do this on its own. If there is a freeware program, I am not
aware of it. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Fred" wrote in message news:5T9ag.2300$Go6.1673@trnddc04... You can save the message to the desktop, then open it in Notepad and edit
out the attachment and then drag the edited message back into OE. steve "Fred" wrote in message news:5T9ag.2300$Go6.1673@trnddc04... Hi Fred,
That's why I wrote the OEX program. You can just click a button and all the attachments are removed and also they can also be all saved separately from the OE message store. You can save a message to the desktop by dragging it from OE and dropping it. cheers, steve "Fred" wrote in message news:71nag.3052$Go6.2025@trnddc04...
