![]() I'd like to import my address book from my desktop to a new networked laptop. I've exported it to a .wab file on a shared drive on the desktop but when I try to import the file to the address book on the laptop I get a message that says an error occured during the import process and the process cannot be completed. I tried putting the .wab file on a CD and importing it via the CDROM drive on the laptop but got the same message. I would really really appreciate any help! Thanks, Maggie |

Just copy the WAB file from the CD to the Desktop, then right click it and
remove the Read-Only attribute that is set whenever anyone copies a file to a CD. Then try the import. Bet it will work! PS: Thumb (USB) Flash drives are great for this as they do not set the attribute. And networked drives will not work for an import either. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped.
