Thanks for help compacted & lost messages

I just want to thank those of you who helped me a few days ago when I wrote
that OE6 had compacted, got to a "not responding" state and lost half of my
messages.

I used Steve Cochran's DBXpress http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/Default.aspx
and was able to retrieve over 16000 messages from my C drive. Steve was
extremely helpful via email as I was completing this process, since I needed
to disable some other programs to be successful. Bravo!

I solved my problem and also know how to avoid it in the future, thanks to
the helpful responses in this forum (Bruce Hagen & others).

Thanks again,
Karen

You're welcome & I'm sure that includes the others. (Now keep those folders
small and back them up). w

And guess which program she had to turn off to get it to work?

HINT: Sounds like "antivirus"
