Can't delete OE rule
BlankI have 3 email accounts, each worked just fine until 5/22 when I
stopped receiving messages on 1 account. I had created a rule : when received from X account, move message to X folder. It worked great until 5/22. I checked the rules list and this rule is greyed out, cannot delete, modify ---nothing. I tired a test message from another account, nothing received & nothing on the server either. I deleted the account, then re-created it, & created a message rule to move messages from that account to its folder & sent another test message, now it works. How do I delete the old message rule? I cant access it through the Message Rule List. Can't delete OE rule
If you are running NAV 2004 and Norton Internet Security, it includes
Norton AntiSpam and this package is the likely cause of this problem. Other Anti-Spam programs may also cause this to happen. If that is not the case, follow this path to see all your rules in the registry. In the right pane you will see the action of the rule to make sure you have the right one. Right click on the key for that one rule and Delete it . StartRunregeditOK. HKEY_CURRENT_USER \Identities \{GUID} \Software \Microsoft \Outlook Express \5.0 Click RulesMail to find the rule. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Jim" wrote in message ... Thanks a million, IT WORKED!!! You're right, I have NAV 2004 & NIS but
nothing in the anti-spam rules. I deleted it from the registry and all is well in OE land once again. Thank you very much Jim "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ...
