Default adding new account

I have added new accounts in the past and had no problem , today I added a
new account but it does not show in the left hand panel , when I click
send/receive" the new account shows in this window. How do I get it to come
up in the panel on the left beside my other accounts.

Only Hotmail tries to turn OE into Netscape. Your new account is there;
it just doesn't create it's own Inbox, etc. like Hotmail does. It will
use the default Inbox.

Actually, IMAP accounts behave like Hotmail. In both cases it's because the
messages are retained on the server.

I do it with message rules. I make a folder for the account and use a rule
like this:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the message is from the mail.socket.net account
Move it to the Socket folder
and Stop processing more rules

Me too. It keeps messages out of the Inbox as well.
