Cannot Log from Outlook Express after changinh Hotmail Password Hot

Hi Diana,

Is it possible to logon at the Hotmail Web page? Sometimes clearing
temporary Internet files and cookies will correct a Hotmail connection
problem.

Another try is to remove all hotmail DBX files from the OE message store. Do
this only if clearing TIF's and cookies doesn't help.

TIF's and Cookies

Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click Delete Files. When you are prompted to confirm the file deletion, click
OK.
Click Clear History, and then click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Click *Delete Cookies (if it is present), and then click OK to delete all
cookies.

*There may be cookies for other sites you wish to maintain to avoid
re-entering passwords. A search for (older) Hotmail cookies could be done.

Hotmail DBX Files

1) Quit Outlook Express.

2) Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders. Include
hidden files and folders in the search.

3) In the Named box, type Hotmail*.dbx, and then click Find Now.

4) For each file that is found, right-click the file, click Rename, and
then change the extension to xxx.

5) Close the Find Files window, and then start Outlook Express.

6) Click Send and Receive, and then click Hotmail account.

Assuming it's a account (not a account), yes,
that HTTP Server name is correct.

Try this, courtesy of MVPs Jim Pickering and Bruce Hagen: IE Tools
Internet Options Security Internet Zone Custom Level Tab Make sure
"Automatic logon with current username and password" is checked.
