importing OE inbox messages from one PC to second PC.
I don't know what I'm doing! I've copied OE inbox.dbx onto a second computer
the correct way, but now I'm trying to import the file into new computer's OE store folder. Problem is, the store window "change" can't recoginize the ..dbx file. The computer CAN recognize the file. What am I meant to do now????? Any help appreciated. Thanks. |

If you don't copy folders.dbx, you won't get a thing. Also, if you moved the store folder from another computer using a CD, make sure the .dbx files are not "read only". Alias |

Did you make sure Inbox.dbx is not Read Only? Did you include Folders.dbx? Don't store messages in the Inbox. It is the folder most apt to be corrupted. As soon as you read them move them to user created folders. Then compact the Inbox regularly. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP, OE/WM Please reply in newsgroup. |
