Off topic for Outlook Express, but they should be there. Type vista in the
search box. This is the Vista General newsgroup. You can click on it and further your query the news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof....vista.general -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "limeybiker" wrote in message ... I am using msnews.microsoft.com, using, Outlook Express news reader, for the
benefit of those that think I am off topic. I have ordered the Beta of Vista, so I would like to monitor the Vista specific News Group I want to access the newsgroup news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof....vista.general, kindly provided by Bruce Hagen. But the link does not work. The news group does not show in my list of news groups. When I try to refresh and re-download the newsgroups, they still do not show. The Vista home pages show several Vista news groups, but none of them download. Ride safe Barry "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP, OE/WM" wrote in message news ![]() "limeybiker" wrote in message ... You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main
Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and set up msnews in the new identity and see if you can download now, and if the Vista groups show. I you are successful, you can import your email messages from the old identity and delete it, or just keep the new identity for newsgroups.
