There is no direct way to import the messages. You will have to find a thrid
party tool (use Google). I'm sure there are some work arounds for it but
none will be fun to do expecially with multiple computers.

Import messages from Groupwise to Outlook Express

When outlook express is first opened, a wizard asks if you want to import
other email messages and all the groupwise emails are transfered. But on some
of our pc's, people were already using outlook express and I can't seem to
find a way for the wizard to work.

I don't recall Outlook Express asking to import mail on first run but
Outlook I do know does that. Are you perhaps confusing the two? Outlook and
Outlook Express are two different programs.

It's Outlook express 6.0. It's the email program, not the business
management program.

Thanks

Import messages from Groupwise to Outlook Express

I just did a setup of OE6 on Virtual PC and wasn't prompted to import and
messages.

You can set up a test Identity to see if it will prompt you, open Regedit
then rename the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities subkey to Identities.old and
the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Accounts Manager to
Internet Accounts Manager.old
and when you start OE, it will act as though it's never been run before.

Any old messages already in OE can be imported.

Import messages from Groupwise to Outlook Express

Thanks for you efforts, I truly appreciate it.

Solution:
In OE6, click File, then Import, Messages.
Select Microsoft Outlook,
When prompted, select Novell Default Settings,
You will be prompted to import all folder or select one at a time. I
selected all, then the messages were imported. For some reason it will not
work on all computers, not sure what the conflict is.

Thanks again for trying.

None of the message stores to import are on a removable drive or network
drive are they? If so, OE won't import from removable media (mapped drives,
flash drive, CDs, DVDs, etc).

Thanks again for trying.
