my internet doesnt work. im on a dell laptop that i purchased last year and
the wireless internet connection worked fine when i first got it. then it
stopped working for a reason unknown to me! however, about 4months ago, i
turned on my laptop to find every single file, every single thing i had ever
saved had disappeared. Nothing was saved, and the computer did the usual
introductory tour when first turned on after purchase. i was annoyed,
however my internet worked. the next day, i turn it on to find all my files,
songs and word documents back, and the internet not working. it has not
worked since that time.

I would sincerely appreciateany help you could give me.

Thanks,
Susannah Symes.

It sounds as if your user profile would not load and a new one was created
at some point. The data may well stioll be there under that profiles folder.

Open Windows Explorer
Select the Tools menu
Select Folder Options.
Click on the Views tab
Check the box next to "Display the contenst of system folders"
Select "show all files and folders..."
Uncheck "Hide file extensions for known file types"
Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"
Click Apply then OK

Now, From Windows Explorer, click on the + sign next to My Computer to
expand it.
Click on the + sign next to Local Disk (C to expand it (the Local Disk may
be a different name)
Click on the + sign next to Documents and Settings to expand it.

Here you will see the user profiles. You should see Administrator, All
Users, NetworkService, LocalService, Default User and possibly other
profiles such as the name you used for the profile, I have two, Lee and
Majik listed.
Expand those user profiles and look thru there to see if you see the old
files.

They Could possibly still be there.

As to the wireless, I coldn't diagnose that from here. It could be multiple
things. I can think of it being set to an IP address, the subnet changed,
the default gateway isn't being picked up, the DNS server isn't being picked
up or wrong,. Too many things without having more information as to what is
currently there.

Given her email address, it might be better if her internet continues to be
lost and non-functional.

Maybe the computer got disgusted and deleted her profile.

Your post with no message speaks quite poorly of your ability to communicate
from Germany. You are a troll. Or simply a dumba**.
