how do you re-install OE?

Since I can't open attachments, I am concluding that OE must be corrupt.

What is the procedure for re-installing and will I lose my store files and
address book?

nothing to fix the problem.

If you stayed in the same thread instead of starting a new post, that
wouldn't have happened.

These links show how to backup and restore OE. The process is the same for
transferring to a new computer, which would be the same as a new HDD. Review
them and you may find where you went wrong.

Backup & Resto

If you are transferring to another PC, and have access to a Windows XP setup
CD, or if both computers are running Windows XP, see:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/...pten.mspx#EBAA

If you insist on reinstalling OE, (which probably won't help):

Although written for WinXP, it works for all Windows operating systems 98 or
newer.

If you are using WinXP/SP2, and it was not already on your computer from the
factory, you will have to remove SP2 first.

If SP2 was included in the OEM's installation disk, then you don't, (can't),
have to remove it.
