Dguess, thank you for helping me investigate the problem I was having. After
looking for the DBX file extensions everywhere, I noticed a large Outlook
folder. I decided to open outlook and there was all my stuff, no wonder
there were no .dbx folders that were recent.

The naming of Outlook and Outlook Express is VERY confusing, why couldn't
they have come up with two distinct names?

Anyway, I'm safe again. A major bonus is that we found old dbx files from
years ago that we thought were totally gone. Now we know how to retrieve
that archive and import it to Outlook.

I really like this user group. Thanks for Dguess and all of the expert help.

Glad you got it.

The naming is confusing but then they didn't want to name it Majik Mail so I
gave up.

For Vista, Outlook Express is replaced by Windows Mail; no confusion with
Outlook.

Of course, now there's also Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Mail Desktop.
Don't eliminate confusion, replace and increase it. And there's only one
newsgroup for all three.
