Attachment Problem

I have the same problem but that read in plain text was NOT checked. Any
other ideas. About 99% of email received have the attachment icon. Thanks
for the help.

All received messages show the attachment icon (including emails without
actual attachments).

I have tried creating a new inbox and re-importing the messages, but did
not
work.
I also installed SP2, but nothing changed.

Any ideas?

Mr. Kidd

Is the option to read all messages in plain text selected? If so, any HTML
message will show an attachment, which is the HTML version.

Are you using AVG by any chance?

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer
of protection that eats up CPUs and causes a multitude of problems such as
time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A/V program will
continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see:

You're welcome. AFAIK, AVG, (a good program IMHO), is the only one that does
this, so we've seen it before.
