Can you put the hard drive on the second machine?
If so, copy the DBX files from it to a folder on the second machine to one
named such as C:\Mail
Do not try to put them in the Identities folder on the second machine.

File | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6 | Import mail from an
OE6 store directory
Press OK
Press Browse and navigate to the C:\Mail folder. Select it to highlight it,
then press OK
Finish up the import.

Thanks a simple solution!
The problem is however how not to cope duplicate messages
I have many messages on both systems.
I dont know if I can put the drive in other machine, but maybe I can use
Laplink.

EIDE drive? Set the old one as a slave or cable select depending upon the
cable.

Bruce already mentioned OEX which works great.

Default Transfer mail messages/folders from old system

I have a similar problem, only I'm trying to transfer my old messages and
folders from a working "old" machine to my "newer" PC. I was able to do the
address book, OE to OE, but I have not been able to move the
messages/folders--different process from the address book. Any help or
suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Dan,

You can use Import to acquire all your old mail folders and messages.

To find the location where Outlook Express stores its folders and messages.
On the old computer, open Outlook Express, choose Tools | choose Options |
on the Maintenance tab click Store Folder, examine the displayed path, that
is where all your messages are stored.

This folder and its contents needs to copied to a location on your new
computer, I suggest My Documents.

On the new computer, open Outlook Express, choose File, on it's menu select
Import, on the expanded menu choose Messages. In the Outlook Express Import
dialog window select "Microsoft Outlook Express 6" (or 4 if old computer has
OE4), click Next. In the Import From OE6 dialog window tick "Import mail
from OE6 store directory", click OK. In the Outlook Express Import dialog
window click Browse and browse to the location in My Documents where you
stored the data, click Next. In the next dialog window assure All Folders
is ticked, click Next.
