Unable to get OE to save my password..........

Every-time I send or receive e-mail I have to re-enter my password. I have
version 6 and when I go to the servers tab in accounts and enter my user
name the area provided for my password is "grayed out". The only way it will
let me enter the password is if I check the box telling it to save the
password before hand. After I uncheck the box the password itself grays out
and then after I click apply it appears to work, at least until I attempt to
send or receive e-mail. When I return to the servers tab the username
remains while the password is missing while the area for it is grayed out.
Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Michael W.

It will only remember it that one time.

If you want it to remember the password from then on, "leave the box
checked".

If you're using a public system, leave the password blank and the box
unchecked so it will prompt you each time.
