Try sending the message in Plain Text (vs. RichText).

Change your format in Outlook to plain text. If you don't know how to do that ask in an Outlook newsgroup. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM Reply in newsgroup "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security" |

If "it" is the symptom I would suggest you close all OE windows except the main application window, set Work Offline, open the folder tree at the root (e.g. press Backspace or Ctrl-y,Home,Enter) and then do a File, Folder, Compact All Folders (Alt-F,F,F). If OE reports a problem with one of the folders, then close OE. Before reopening it use Task Manager's Processes tab (e.g. press Ctrl-Shift-Esc,Ctrl-Tab,m) to wait until msimn.exe stops executing (i.e. wait until msimn.exe is no longer reported in that list of Processes) and only then try the full compaction procedure again. It is possible that you are going through an Exchange server which is
resetting the format to Rich Text Format (RTF). I don't know why some businesses set up their servers that way. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM Reply in newsgroup http://www.fjsmjs.com "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security" "TuffTurf" wrote in message ... i sent the message in plain text and got the same error message outlook 2003 has 3 e-mail formats options: html, rich text and plain text i tried all of them with no success any other sugestion? thanks!
