Default Dupliate emails?

Hello

I have forgotten what the cure is when one receives emails in
duplicate....help please?

Toolsoptionsgeneralremove the check mark for "When starting, go directly
to my Inbox" or "Check for new messages at startup".

I have both of those checked and don't get duplicate emails. I am
completely up-to-date with the security updates from MS.
