Hi Steve

I hope you can help me with an additional problem that I get. Often it says
"This service does not work with Outlook Express". How can I correct the
problem?
Thanks

It has nothing to do with the location of the message. The language
attribute is set to show which language the parser should use. Javascript
is the default. See
http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/a...s/language.asp

I think Jim was just complaining about the script being their to begin
with.

I think Jim is referring to the script language in Ken's reply:

SCRIPT language=javascript
if (!ccTest('DH_FREE'))
document.write("stylespan.cc603622
{display:inline!important}/style");
else document.write("stylespan.cc603622
{display:none!important}/style");
/SCRIPT

The script language is not needed in a newsgroup message.

Hi Jim

I am interested in knowing why scripting is bad. If it is, I need to
ensure that it is disabled on my computer.
Thanks

Ken:

Please stop using that scripting example to post. You can take the
text from any article and paste it into Notepad, then from there into
your message. Scripting is disabled on many computers these days and
all your reply does is throw up "scripting errors." HTML is really not
needed for posting that information. Thanks.

Assuming that you mean Hotmail and that you entered the information
correctly, OE now only works for paid Hotmail and MSN accounts except for a
shrinking number of old free accounts.

Try this

START | Run
type in Regedit

and press ENTER

Press the + sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER to expand it.
Click on Identities subkey

rename it to Identities.org

Now try to start OE. It should start up as though it hadn't run before.
You can set it back up then import the old messages into it then.
