AFAIC, your post is as much of an unnecessary download as the OP's. How
many people post here with an IE question just because the name of the
newsgroup is confusing.

If you want to be productive, point them in the direction of the correct
newsgroup, in this case:

OE6 French Newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...utlookexpress6

Otherwise, you are wasting just as much bandwidth as the poster.

This is a predominantly an English speaking NewsGroup. I don't mind at
all
Johnny Foreigner posting to this NG but you should have the common sense
to
try do it in English. That would save us having to download unnecessary
posts
and increase the possibility of you getting a reasonable response.
Alternatively you could post to a NG for your own language.

You wrote your post is as much of an unnecessary download as the OP's.
You're entitled to your opinion. That doesn't make it right. I'm entitled
to my opinion!

You also wrote If you want to be productive, point them in the direction
of the correct newsgroup, in this case That's where your argument falls
down. If I could understand the foreign rubbish I might be able to redirect
them to where they should be going in the first place. I can't understand
them which makes them a waste of space!!

It most definitely is offensive. So are your comments such as "If I could
understand the foreign rubbish".

The point is that this is a NG to help people, and if they accidently
stumble onto an English NG when they speak French, the idea should be to
help them and not refer to them offensively as you continue to do over and
over again.

I don't care what language is involved, I'm here to try and help people.

These are Microsoft Help groups. If you don't want to help, then why bother
coming here?

I run a village Post Office and small General Grocers. There is a
Chinese lady in the village, she doesn't speak a word of English, I
don't speak a word of Chinese. Do I refuse to serve her and send her to
another shop as it's not my problem when she wants milk for her child?
No we get by as best we can with gestures and pointing. I certainly
don't consider her a waste of space! How arrogant of you.

I don't like junk mail. I can register and stop that.
I don't like marketing phone calls. I can register with TPS and stop that.
I don't like marketing faxes. I can register with FPS stop that.
I don't speak any foreign languages so communicating in anything other than
English is not possible.
I don't like posts in a foreign language. They are a waste of my time and
resources - especially when there are NGs in there own language.

I'm sorry if this offensive. It isn't intended to be so but I am entitled
to have and express a view.

Regards.

You seem to have little to no knowledge of foreign countries and people
at all, maybe that's your problem? "Foreign rubbish", indeed?! shakes head

I don't like posts in a foreign language. They are a waste of my time and

Your meaningless and not the least helpful posts are a waste of time
and resources of most of the rest of us! Do you think anybody posting
here in a foreign language is going to understand your "English rubbish"
telling them to go away?
