Default IE 7 and Outlook Express

I downloaded Internet Explorer 7 before realizing I also needed Outlook
Express. I cannot download IE6 which contains Outlook Express because I get
a message that I have a later version.

Is there a future fix for this in place? Where can I get Outlook Express by
having Internet Explorer 7

What is your Windows version? What was the reason for downloading IE7?

Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer 6, (not 7), and they both are
part of your OS. Did IE6 and OE6 ever work?

Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Add/Remove Windows Components. Is
Internet Explorer and Outlook Express checked?

Default IE 7 and Outlook Express

I have windows XP Media Edition Service Pack 2. I downloaded IE7 to get the
latest and greatest version of the browser. IE6 did work, but OE6 would
reset everytime I would log off of my ID.

I just attempted to uninstall version 7 and reinstall 6 however I kept
getting an error message saying that I had a later version and could not
reinstall 6

Installing IE7 Beta3 doesn't affect Outlook Express (6).

Control Panel Add/Remove Programs Add/Remove Windows Components
Outlook Express (check) OK Reboot.

Please expand on "OE6 would reset everytime".

Uninstalling IE7 B3 returns you to IE6: You don't need to reinstall
anything.

"I downloaded IE7 to get the latest and greatest version of the browser."

Wrong -- you downloaded beta software. Microsoft makes this very clear
on its website.

IE7 may yet turn out to be Microsoft's greatest...when it's finally
released.

If you downloaded and installed a beta of IE7 then you have WinXP SP2 and
already have OE6 SP2.
