I downloaded Internet Explorer 7 before realizing I also needed Outlook
Express. I cannot download IE6 which contains Outlook Express because I get a message that I have a later version. Is there a future fix for this in place? Where can I get Outlook Express by having Internet Explorer 7 |

What is your Windows version? What was the reason for downloading IE7?
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer 6, (not 7), and they both are part of your OS. Did IE6 and OE6 ever work? Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Add/Remove Windows Components. I have windows XP Media Edition Service Pack 2. I downloaded IE7 to get the
latest and greatest version of the browser. IE6 did work, but OE6 would reset everytime I would log off of my ID. I just attempted to uninstall version 7 and reinstall 6 however I kept getting an error message saying that I had a later version and could not reinstall 6 "Bruce Hagen" wrote: What is your Windows version? Please expand on "OE6 would reset everytime".
Uninstalling IE7 B3 returns you to IE6: You don't need to reinstall anything. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org Tim wrote: I have windows XP Media Edition Service Pack 2. "I downloaded IE7 to get the latest and greatest version of the browser."
Wrong -- you downloaded beta software. Microsoft makes this very clear on its website. IE7 may yet turn out to be Microsoft's greatest...when it's finally released. --- Ted Zieglar "Backup is a computer user's best friend." Tim wrote: I have windows XP Media Edition Service Pack 2. Where can I get Outlook Express by having Internet Explorer 7 If you downloaded and installed a beta of IE7 then you have WinXP SP2 and already have OE6 SP2. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Please reply in newsgroup.
