Recovering Emails after a user has been deleted

Hello All

I have done a very stupid thing and deleted the user that i used to log
in with, by doing this I no longer have access to the emails that i
used to have in my Outlook Express. I downloaded them from my isp's
pop3 site, thus i cannot get them from the site directly anymore. I am
using Outlook Express6 and i still have the folder for that user which
was in the Documents and Settings folder. Can anyone help as I have an
urgent need to get those emails.

Many thanks

Which logon? OE or Identity? If you can create a new identity, then from the
new one: File | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6 and point to
the old identity.

See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4 for message recovery techniques. Log on as
Admin and then do an Advanced search that includes hidden files. Once you
find the dbx files, then you can try what Bruce suggested with File | Import
| Messages in OE and pointing to that directory.

To restore your email, you will have to go to Tools | Accounts | Add | Mail
and add in your username and password info.

If you deleted a Windows User, then Windows deleted all the files for that
user. The only hope would be DBXpress (www.oehelp.com) run in disk mode,
not Recovery mode.
