Can't send without rebooting
The following message appears whenever I try to send a new message or even
reply to a message: An unknown error has occurred. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800C0131 What do I do to fix this? It never happened before going wireless high-speed. Am still in Windows 98 if that matters. Thanks! Wayne |

I am stuck with this statement: Open your Store Folder in Windows Explorer. (I don't have a clue) I am working with Windows 98, and in the past have repaired folders by going into Identities then into the OE stuff. I'm hesitant now out of fear, but should I go into Identities and delete the Outobx folder, then reboot and let it rest? I can always send a few messages before the error appears. So somewhere in my system there is something that goes click in the night and messes it all up making be reboot to send any and all outgoing messages. Annoying as heck! Thanks again! Further to what Jim advised, do you have your anti virus software set to scan your mail? If so disable that part of it, it can and does cause this sort of problem, and it is an unnecessary procedure. Can't send without rebooting
If you are using Outlook Express, version 6, your mail is stored in
files with an extension of DBX. Just do a file search for folders ending with DBX and note the folder containing them. Then use Windows Explorer to navigate to that folder. That's the folder you'll to open to do any deletion of your "Local Folders" in Outlook Express (and Outlook Express must be closed when making changes there). Thanks... but everything works just fine when starting out with a restart or
new star and then after doing a bit of work here and there in the Explorer world I come back to OE and hit send, and the message comes up again. Any Ideas? "Jim Pickering" wrote in message ... None other than suggesting you compact your message store folder often
