Hopefully, it will address your problem. No, it should not cause any problems. No, there's no KB documentation about it addressing your problem but installing it has done so for others. It's fully uninstallable if it doesn't and you don't want to keep it installed. Thank you.] -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Security, Shell/User) paste sdavies6 wrote: Not any longer. I did have a trial of them, and had set up both, months ago. I selected the "add to address book" option, and in each case a dialogue box opened up which said the address was already in my address book. However, I can't find it. So, why do some addresses get into my book and others not, and how do I find and put these latest addresses into the book? I am using Windows XP and OE 6. |

I just read the text for this update. It does not mention repairing any
problem with entering addresses or lost addresses. The fixes it addresses are not problems I have. Why do you suggest it for me? "PA Bear" wrote in message ... 1. Do you have this Registry key?... From another post by Bruce Hagen:
Patch KB918766: http://tinyurl.com/mx3r2 This patch addresses some of the issues that were caused by KB911567. Address Book problems. Unsent templates appearing as sent. Manually compacting will now reset the registry counter to Zero in WinXP/SP2 and also sends a copy of your dbx files to the recycle bin as a temporary backup. To complete the fix for .eml templates, a registry change is needed. See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918766 -- Ron Sommer "sdavies6" wrote in message ... :I just read the text for this update. Not any longer. They were on the computer a number of months ago, and
have been removed. Is it possible there is a residual of Outlook which is causing this problem? As I mention in a previous reply, I do not have a separate identity for each mail account, they are both under the Main Identity. "PA Bear" wrote in message ...
