Can't delete account

I can't delete old Hotmail/MSN accounts from OE6. I right click on the
account from the Folder List, click Remove Account and then click Yes to
confirm, the account is still there. If I go to Tools, Accounts, highlight
the account and click Remove it does the same thing. No error message and the
account is still there. Happens with both active and inactive HTTP
(Hotmail/MSN) accounts. I was able to delete an IMAP account no problem.

Thanks

You most likely have a damaged identity. Try creating a new identity and
switch to it and create those accounts you wish to retain and test it. If
all works well, you can import your stored messages from the damaged
identity, and then later delete the problem identity.
