Cannot view any messages
OE was working fine yesterday but today when I started the application I
cannot view any of my messages, I have a completely blank screen other than toolbars. The messages are all there somewhere because they come up if I go into find. The view is set on its usual setting and if i select a folder in Go To Folder it displays the number of messages and number unread at the bottom of the screen but still shows a blank page. It seems to think it is showing them. Any ideas please??? |

.... I have a completely blank screen other than toolbars. See if this helps: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#10 quote 10. Messages appear blank or OE rendering of messages is not functioning correctly. /quote That may not be what she's describing. I'm probably seeing the same thing since installing IE7rc1: as if FrontPagePath was pointing at about:Blank It's probably more overly tight security nonsense. Doesn't bother me except for the disconcerting change. I always use either the Outlook bar (when my mouse is working vertically as well as horizontally w) or just press Ctrl-y and Hmm... I don't see this part of the symptom... if i select a folder in Go To Folder it displays the number of messages and number unread at the bottom of the screen but still shows a blank page. Ok. Here's a thought: what would happen if her Layout was FUBAR? E.g. what if the Preview pane was taking all the application area and everything else such as Preview pane header, the Columns labels, etc. was either covered up by it or toggled off. To test that idea just toggle off the Preview pane and see what's left. I'm not sure how you could resize the Preview pane if it is so big that you can't even grab a piece of it with the mouse; perhaps that's one of the fixes a new identity offers. FWIW before going that far I'd try switching the position of the Preview pane (using View, Layout...) E.g. if the current position is Below Messages toggle on Beside Messages (Alt-V,L,s) and see if things look more normal. This precise hypothesis brought to you by a less precise symptom description. eg Robert --- |
