My uk2 server downloads to OE via the inbox but the sent items that were
issued through web mail do not come to OE.
Is there any way to do something about this?
Cheers,
Johnny

Hi Johnny,

(POP3 account?)

With your Web mail is it possible to move messages from the Sent Items (Web)
folder to the (Web) Inbox folder? This would be a way to download the
messages to the (OE) Inbox from the (Web) Inbox. These messages could then
be moved from the (OE) Inbox to the (OE) Sent Items folder. Messages would
no longer be available in the (Web) Sent Items folder, however.

No. Unlike Hotmail in OE, only mail from your POP3 account's inbox are automatically downloaded into OE.

For a POP3 account, the mail server controls which folders can be
downloaded. Typically, this is just the Inbox. (For example, with
Yahoo, the Bulk folder can optionally be downloaded.).

Even if the server allows you to download multiple folders, the POP3 has
no way to tell OE which folder the message came from, they will all go
into the Inbox.

As others have mentioned, you could move the server Sent messages to the
server Inbox and then they will download. You could use messages rules
to look at the From in order to identity messages from you
(unfortunately that will also catch some spam the uses the recipient as
the sender.) Another unfortunate thing is that OE message rules don't
allow moving to the Sent Items folder, although you could move them to a
folder you created.
