OE opens by itself and won't stay closed!
OE has developed a mind of it's own: it open's immediately upon start up. If
I shut it down...it immediately (within 30-45 seconds) re-opens. While typing a message it will freeze the cursor disappears until I reclick. Please HELP! Thanks, Paul |

See point 3 he www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3
Also go to Start | Run and type msconfig and disable all startup items and non-MS services and reboot. Then see if that fixes it. steve "Hummingbird" wrote in message ... There's no feature in Outlook Express to start itself or restart itself.
Did your ISP provide any software for you? Some provide a connection manager software. It can be set to automatically start selected programs whenever an Internet Connection is open. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Hummingbird" wrote in message ... OE will not evoke itself. Something running in the background is starting
it, so you need to see what is running in the background. If you boot to safe mode does it still happen? steve "Hummingbird" wrote in message ... Do you have one of the keyboards with the extra buttons on, if so try
another keyboard, this was happening with my daughters machine. I think the email button on the keyboard went bad but swapping the keyboard cured the problem. I'm not saying this will work for your problem but that was the cure for my daughters machine.
