YES. They wanted it. I did not recommend it, they suggested it.

However, you may not like the results of this filter.
If you choose this option, you will never hear from anyone new.
You will never hear from any friends that get a new ISP and a new email
address. You will find that you forgot to add a lot of addresses to your address
book that you need to hear from but don't normally write to. Example,
your ISP that sends you billing reminders.
At the request of several customers, I have put this filter in there mail. Only to get called in
a couple of weeks to remove it.

If you don't enter your e-mail address at untrusted sites, you won't get any

That's not entirely true. I have two email addresses that are
(theoretically) known only to me and to the service providers. Neither
has been posted anywhere or used to send email. Nonetheless, both
receive some spam messages, one of them quite a lot considering that it's
never been used. Either some providers are distributing addresses or
unwittingly letting harvesters into their systems, or the spammers are
getting very good at guessing addresses that may be valid.

Well, it is true for me. What can I say. If you have never used your real
e-mail address in newsgroups, (I know you are not using it here), or other
untrusted sites, I would consider changing ISPs. I know Cox can be trusted.

I can understand that. Is there any other way to prevent spam from
going
into my inbox?
