Default reducing deleted items file size

My deleted items.dbx file is currently about 200mb. When I empty the deleted
items folder, it remains the same size. I can compress the folder manually
and it goes to about 50kb

Is there a way of automatically shrinking the file when the folder is empty

Inbox.dbx will change file size whenever I clear the inbox, so why not
deleted items ?

Many thanks

Automatic compaction in OE results in message loss, so its best to manually
compact the folders.
