Outlook 6.0,port 110 is not working
 
Dear all,

When i tried to send or receive mails from Outlook 6.0 as well as MS
Outlook,I am geting the error like

The connecton to the server has failed.Ac**** :"ourserver".com,server:
ourserver, rotol:POP3,Port :110,Secure(SSL):No,Socket Error
:10061,ErrorNumber :0x800CCC0E

I tried telnet ourserver.com 110....saying coud not connect
Windows is updated,there is no problems in email id

Anyone can help me

Well, it looks like from your Windows box you can't access the POP3 port of
your server. Perhaps no daemon there is listening on that port, or perhaps
you have some sort of connectivity problem (firewalls in the middle, DNS...)
If you issue "ping ourserver.com" do you see the server's IP address printed
back?

That message indicates that you have the server names set incorrectly in
that account. Contact the email provider about what server names to use.
