Hi all
I'm trying to setup different signatures for multiple different accounts. I've setup 10 accounts and 10 signature files However when I start a new message it puts in the signature from the default account. If I then straight away change the "From" account......The signature does NOT change ? Surely if you can set different signatures for different accounts on the signatures tab in the tools menu ...... then these should be used when the appropriate 'From' account is changed ?? Otherswise what is the point in setting them up ?? Thanks in advance Andrew |

If you're sitting on the default account when you click new mail it adds the signature from the default account. If, for instance, I'm sitting on the and click new mail it includes that signature instead of the default. -- Galen - MS MVP - Windows (Shell/User & IE) http://dts-l.org/ http://kgiii.info/ "At present I am, as you know, fairly busy, but I propose to devote my declining years to the composition of a textbook which shall focus the whole art of detection into one volume." - Sherlock Holmes |

IMHO, I think you will have better results if you don't use the option to
Add signature to all outgoing messages. Put the Insert button on the toolbar and it should put the correct one in when you click on it since you are now in the correct account. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Andrew Kennard" wrote in message ... Thanks for your suggestion. This does work but it it a bit of a shame it does not do it automatically as you have already associated signatures with accounts. I don't believe there is any other way around the problem other than having
the 10 accounts in 10 different identities. There never will be an OE7. Its replacement is Windows Mail, but will only be in the new OS, Windows Vista. Windows Live Mail Desktop will be available for XP at some time, but I don't think many people will jump for joy over it. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Andrew Kennard" wrote in message ... The ONLY way would be to change which account is default before starting the

Would 'full' Outlook give better options in this area ?
