Scan HP1100A image to Outlook Express
 

I know this is a very late reply but I have been trying to sort this
problem out for eight years. Have just upgraded my computer and now
have xp and still the same problem

If you have resolved it so that you can use Outlook Express, please
please let me know.

You don't even say what the problem is, so I'll take a guess.

First you must save the scan, then attach it to OE with Insert | File
attachment. Or if it's an image and your message is in HTML you can use
Insert | Picture.

ScanJet 1100A sends the scan to MS Outlook as an attachment. OP wanted
to send the scan to MS Outlook Express.

OE is only a Simple MAPI client and most of those scanners/programs will
only send to a Full MAPI client.
