IE & OE & IM Blocked.

Hi,

Having a problem with accessing email at Hotmail.com via Outlook Express.
At the same time I can't access the Web site for Hotmail.com. via Internet
Explorer. Instant Messenger won't let me log on as the account used for it
is my Hotmail address.

I've tryed using IE to log onto MSN's web page and their hyperlink to
connect to Hotmail.com and get page not found message. When hitting the
send/recieve key in OE I get the following error message:
Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account: 'Hotmail',
Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol:
HTTPMail, Server Response: '', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
12002, Error Number: 0x800CCC19

When I try to log into IM I get this error message:

Signing into .net messenger service failed because etc. [ to much to type
in] .

I'm not shure where to start to look for a solution so I'm starting here.

Your help would be appeciated.

Hi Norman,

Yes I've expierienced what you said a few times over the years.

Unfortunatly this is different.

It's been almost three weeks now I havn't been able to Log onto Instant
Messange or download Hotmail or use any means such as Hperlinks to get to
Hotmails site.

Scratching head.... I just have zero clue what could be doing this.

Frusterating to say the least.

But thanks for the sujestion.

It is all related to MSN. The service does go down, from time to time.
Sometimes it is deliberate, and if you are connected to MSN Messenger,
you will get a system warning. Sometimes it just seems to stop working.
All that you can do is ride it out.
