Go to Tools | Options | Security and make sure "Warn me when other applications are trying to send mail as me" is checked. please get your facts straight before posting. There is no such thing as a custom installation mode in Messenger Plus! and there is no default option for the sponsor either, users always have to select if they want the ads or not when installing.
