Reinstall OE 6 SP1 __ OT now!

Thank you, Mike. Once again, I am amazed at your intimate knowledge of
Millennium and your atomistic record-keeping. Maybe that should be changed
to muonistic, ... or even stringistic!

I'll await PA Bear to explain why he mentioned the .1427 version, since I
would certainly expect him to have installed KB 330994, or know about it, by
this time. Of course, you may already know what and why he did it.

Jack,

MSOE.DLL v6.00.2800.1478 is correct for Win Me and indicates that you have
installed KB330994 "April 2003, Security Update for Outlook Express 6 SP"
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=330994) [MS03-014: April, 2003,
Cumulative Patch for Outlook Express].

I note though that KB330994 refers to msoe.dll being v6.0.2800.1158 dated
11 Oct 2002 whereas the patch contains v6.0.2800.1478 dated 3 March 2003,
the same date as the other files in the hotfix. Why this is, I have no
idea and based on my logs from when I installed that patch on systems with
IE6/OE6 SP1, both XP and Win Me the KB is incorrect.

PA Bear: This WinME box is using OE6 6.00.2800.1123 and MSOE.DLL
6.00.2800.1478, rather than ... .1427, as you mentioned.
What is the explanation? Should I correct it?
