Reinstall OE 6 SP1 __ OT now!
Thank you, Mike. Once again, I am amazed at your intimate knowledge of
Millennium and your atomistic record-keeping. Maybe that should be changed to muonistic, ... or even stringistic! I'll await PA Bear to explain why he mentioned the .1427 version, since I would certainly expect him to have installed KB 330994, or know about it, by this time. Of course, you may already know what and why he did it. -- Jack E. Martinelli Former MS MVP 2002-06 for Shell/User / DTS Help us help you: http://www.dts-L.org/goodpost.htm ------ "Mike M" wrote in message ... Jack, MSOE.DLL v6.00.2800.1478 is correct for Win Me and indicates that you have installed KB330994 "April 2003, Security Update for Outlook Express 6 SP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=330994) [MS03-014: April, 2003, Cumulative Patch for Outlook Express]. I note though that KB330994 refers to msoe.dll being v6.0.2800.1158 dated 11 Oct 2002 whereas the patch contains v6.0.2800.1478 dated 3 March 2003, the same date as the other files in the hotfix. Why this is, I have no idea and based on my logs from when I installed that patch on systems with IE6/OE6 SP1, both XP and Win Me the KB is incorrect. -- Mike Maltby Jack E Martinelli wrote: PA Bear: This WinME box is using OE6 6.00.2800.1123 and MSOE.DLL 6.00.2800.1478, rather than ... .1427, as you mentioned. What is the explanation? Should I correct it? |
