I have been trying to figure out how to send e-mails where the recipent can
only see his or her addy and not all the people in my address book. Using the bcc I still need to put an address in the cc box? or am I missing something? Thanks in advance ![]() |

If you want each recipient to see their address, but nobody else's, you need
a third party program. Mail Merge: http://www.office-addins.com/-outloo...okexpress.html What most people do is: To use the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) feature, In Create Mail, either click View | All Headers and type in the addresses separated by a; Or: Click the To button. You will see your list of contacts and the choice of putting them in the To, CC, or BCC field. Click on an address, then click BCC to add it. Repeat for all the contacts you want. (Note: Most ISPs have limits as to how many e-mails you can send a one time. 25 is common, but it varies). Put your own address in the To box. This is the only address/name that any recipient will see. If you leave the To field blank, some people may not receive the e-mail due to message rules they have set up, or restrictions set by their ISP. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Faye" wrote in message ... I send all my messages using bcc.
It's simple: use the to: line and when you pick out the addresses click on the bcc line and they will go the way you want with only the receiver seeing his/her own address. regards, "Faye" wrote in message ... Thanks in advance ![]() Create a contact in your Address book named "Faye's Mailing List" and give it your own address. Put that in the To field and the rest in the BCC field and nothing in the CC field. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Answer in newsgroup. Don't send mail. |
