Default Email locations on PC

I have a computer (running ME) that has crashed, and I want to save the
emails (using DOS) before I reinstall Windows. Can anyone tell me the
location of the emails?

Also, if I reintstall ME on top of the existing installation, will the
existing emails be wiped?

Geoff

The actual location can vary. You can locate the files by starting a
the root and doing
DIR /a /s *.DBX
For the address book do
DIR /a /s *.WAB

The data files should survive a reinstall, provided you don't reformat
the hard disk. Note that some PC manufacturer restore CDs do reformat.
So doing a back up first is a good idea.
