Possible to re-download email?

I opened OE, which automatically d/l email from my gmail account. Shortly
thereafter, the power cord on my PC was knocked out of place. Fortunately,
when I re-booted all was well, except the most recently d/l email messages
were no longer in my inbox. But they won't d/l again, because somewhere they
are apparently logged as having been d/l already. I don't think this is a
gmail setting, because I seem to remember wanting to d/l some email again
from my previous ISP's server, and not being able to. Does anyone know if
there is a way to get OE to d/l the same email messages, which remain in a
webmail account, more than once? Thanks for any help. (OE6, SP2)

Go back to Gmail - in the settings there is an option to enable for all
mail. You may need to deselect it and then apply and then select and apply
for it to work.

Possible to re-download email?

In OE, Tools, Options, Maintenance tab, Store Folder button, right click,
Select All, right click, copy.
Close OE.
Start, Run, right click, Paste.
OK
NOTE: in XP the dbx files may be hidden, in My Computer, Tools, Folder
Options, View tab, check Show hidden files.
Delete pop3uidl.dbx

Ron - Thanks for your quick response. I tried deleting pop3uidl.dbx, but it
didn't do the trick. I closed OE and reopened it after the deletion, which
wasn't actually part of your instructions, so perhaps this is why. Galen's
suggestion worked for me though. I appreciate your help.

Ron - Correcting my previous reply, this suggestion together with the one
below produced the result I wanted. Having made the gmail settings change and
d/l my entire gmail inbox except, for some reason the emails I wanted, I
deleted the .dbx file you named again, d/l from gmail a second time, and got
what I needed. Thanks again.

Galen - Thanks for the help. I'm fairly new to gmail, and was unfamiliar with this setting. After my initial changes to the gmail setting, I d/l a lot of email I hadn't gotten around to either archiving or deleting, all except the very ones I wanted! I then deleted the .dbx file as suggested by Ron Sommers a 2nd time, d/l from gmail again, got a whole bunch of stuff I will have to delete again, but I also got what I needed. Thanks so much to you guys for your prompt, helpful replies!
