I have noticed some messages apparently saying that you can set OE6 to
automatically downsize inserted pictures to some reasonable size rather than insert at their current file size. Is this a feature I cannot find or some add-on? TIA SG |

This is a feature when at a Website you right click on a picture and choose
Send Picture As. This is not a feature if you are in OE and choose Insert | Picture. Those must be resized before inserting. If you are asking about sending a Website picture and the prompt does not show: Make sure no programs are running. (IE, OE, etc.). Copy and paste the command in Start | Run: REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL Click OK and reboot. Turn off and power back up. Don't use Turn Off | Restart. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "shakey" shakeyATsonic.net wrote in message ... I have never seen an OE picture size control. There is one in Windows File
Explorer - right click on an image and select Send To Mail Recipient, and you should get a downsize option menu. Cheers LT "shakey" shakeyATsonic.net wrote in message ... There's no such feature in OE.
There is that feature in Windows XP if you right click a photo in the Windows Explorer and use Send To Mail Recipient. If you are using XP and that feature isn't offered, then to restore the Resize Picture option during sending Go to Start, Run and enter REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "shakey" shakeyATsonic.net wrote in message ... You are going to have to Right Click | Save As for each picture and save it
to your HDD. Then in a new message, either Insert | Picture, or Insert File Attachment to get more than one picture in the same message. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "shakey" shakeyATsonic.net wrote in message ... Maybe I don't understand the question or the answers but in My Pictures you
can select one or more picture then use the email this file feature on the left and you then get the option to reduce the size or keep the original size. Is this what you are searching for. B.W.
