When I open OE, I initially get an error dialog saying unknown error. I am
logging into my hotmail account. When I look at the details, it just says which hotmail server I am trying to log into. The thing is, it does not download email because of this, but when I click ok and then hit the send/receive button, it downloads just fine. Is there a solution to this problem? Hi Steven,
I don't have the answer. However, there is another MS newsgroup where you'll find some users more familiar with Hotmail issues. You might try that (MSN Discussion) group, too, if an answer is not forthcoming here. news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...msn.discussion -- Tim K. aka Kuay Tim MS-MVP - Outlook Express Lynnwood, WA * "Steven" wrote in message ... I have exactly the same problem.I try the msn group recommended and change
the server name to http://oe.msn.msnmail.hotmail.com/cgi-bin/hmdata. The problem remain the same but I can download the messages when I click the send/receive button. If somebody has a solution to this little problem it would be satisfactory. TIA -- Andre DeLemarre |
