Default Message is no longer available on the server?

In the past few days, I have attempted to open numerous newsgroup messages
only to find "Message is no longer available on the server". Many messages
are available, and I can't find a pattern or reason that some of the
messages aren't there. In addition, I have sent several messages that are
not showing up on newsgroups, although they show up in my Sent mail. I have
Outlook set to hold messages for 60 days after download. The messages I'm
opening are from the current day or a few days past. I'm puzzled. Can anyone
help? Thanks very much in advance.

Try going to Tools | Options | Read and uncheck the option to download xxx
headers at a time. That should let you see all the messages on the server.

What newsserver are you using to access the newsgroups? What newsgroups?

Some newsservers delete messages from the server after 24 hours. Messages
on the MS newsserver are retained for a minimum of 90 days.
