address bar is gone

All of a sudden, in IE 6, the address bar is gone (can't type URLS anymore).
When I start IE, and go to view / toolbars, I see address bar is
unchecked. However, checking it does not bring any change.
Roger.

This group is for Outlook Express, but ensure that your address bar is
selected in toolbars, unlock your toolbars (same place), now look for the
dots that signify the end of each toolbar and pull them around, the address
bar is probably minimised to one end, get it how you want and lock your
toolbars.
HTH?

Many thanks, Steve. I will check it ASAP (don't have access to that PC
at this moment).
About my posting he his group is called
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress, so I thought
it dealt with internet explorer ie6 as well.
Roger.
