I have two computers on my home network and I would like to be able to access
my email from either one. THe ideal way would be to set up outlook express on each computer to point to the same mail folders and address book. Is there any way to do this? Thanks, Mike |

If both computers are using the same e-mail address, on both machines:
Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: Leave a copy of messages on the server. On one machine, check to Delete messages after X days to assure the server does not get clogged up. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "MikeM" wrote in message ... OEX program (www.oehelp.com/OEX/), which will allow you
to point to a folder in OE on one machine and import it into the other. OE will not let you use the same store folder on a network. -- Ronald Sommer "MikeM" wrote in message ... :I have two computers on my home network and I would like to be able to access : my email from either one. If your ISP offers IMAP mail server access, that is the way to go. IMAP
is designed for a single mail account to be shared by multiple PCs. The IMAP mail is managed at the mail server. If your ISP doesn't provide IMAP support, an option is to run your own local mail server that accesses the ISP via POP3 and then provides IMAP support to your local PCs. For examples of such a programs, see: Mercury Mail Transport System http://www.pmail.com/overviews/ovw_mercury.htm Hamster "Classic" http://www.arcorhome.de/newshamster/...amster_en.html -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "MikeM" wrote in message ...
