Odd newsgroup download problem
WinXP SP2 and OE Ver 6.0.2900.2180 with latest updates.
I use a free News Server "Motzarella" as well as my ISPs News Server, to back up a couple of news groups. (The ISP News Server fails now and then). I have a problem downloading one of the news groups through Motzarella, each time I try, OE stops with "not responding". (there are approx 3000 messages to download) I have tried : Synchronising - headers only (with and without get 300 messages set) Not synchronising and "download with preview pane" Subscribing and unsubscribing the offending NG and closing/opening OE (and rebooting) Latest attempts managed to download some headers, but then the "not responding" feature kicked in again. What's next, a chicken sacrifice at midnight ? :-) Other news groups behave OK with OE
