losing pop & smtp settings
I have a new (1 Month) windows xp computer.
I use three E-mail accounts. After I set all the POP and SMTP information in Outlook Express 6 for all the accounts and then send and receive mail all three accounts work. After rebooting the settings get changed and I need to re enter all the information for the three accounts and then they work again. I have reset and applied and saved the settings at least 10 times. Why or What is changing the settings? |

That seems to have fixed the problem and sending and receiveing E-mail seems to happen twice as fast. I am using McAffee and had to search for the settings to turn all the e-mail scanning off. They Don't make it easy. The following is what I did: open the "Security Center" then the "Spamkiller" tab then click on "Configure Spamkiller Options" That will open a New "Spamkiller" window. Click on "Settings" tab Then "E-Mail accounts" once there it give you the option to add or delete accounts that it filters. I deleted all three E-Mail accounts.
