I'm now working from home in a different job and don't seem to be able to
set up an 'out of office' message on OE7. Is this because I'm no longer an office worker with access to a corporate server, or am I missing something? Geoff |

You could simulate one by making OE automatically reply to all messages received, but it would require your PC and OE to be left on constantly and for OE to download messages regularly. Check with your mail server admin to find out how to set an "out of office" autoreply message, if it's possible. Dan |

There is no OE7 for starters. That said, anyone can set up an out of office
message of their own using message rules. But............ If you do this, you will have to leave your computer on 24/7, be connected to the Internet, and have OE open. If you want do this anyway, the link below will explain how to do it. One thing I would suggest is that where it says to create a rule and check For All Messages, you change it and make the rule for people in your address book only. Otherwise you will be replying to Spam as well. Your ISP may offer this service which would be a better choice. http://www.cyberwalker.com/columns/feb01/080201.html -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "G HALL" wrote in message ...
