XP Home/IE6/OE6
Just switched (for a friend) from AOL Dialup to broadband, and installed OE 6 for email. All worked fine. Then he wanted spell check, so we installed MS WORKS SUITE 2006 (includes MS WORD) to get the spell check. He loves WORD, and the spell check works fine, But ... Sending email to printer gets the message embedded in the html control characters. Typical print shows: !DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//dtd html 4.0 ..... etc etc with the body of the note buried in the last line of html tags as: DIVFONT face="Comic Sans MS"text of note/FONT/DIV/BODY/HTML This happens with most of the emails he sends to print, but intermittently it works correctly. Printing directly from MS WORD works fine, as does printing from other applications. I'm looking for settings in all related apps, and spent 3 hours on the phone with Microsoft support, but no luck yet. Does anyone here recognise this? What is the fix? thanks! howard |

Check also under ToolsOptions for settings in your preferred Read/Send and that it is set at MIME/None and NOT MIME/Quoted Printable. Hope this helps. -- Kath Adams MS MVP - Windows (Outlook Express) |
