IE 7 bug caused my system to crash- beware
BTW, why isn't there an IE 7 newsgroup?
Joe "Joe" wrote in message news:... Several weeks ago, I discovered that IE 7 was automatically downloaded- so I installed it. Then I started having problems- I couldn't run HP's Director program for printers, scanners and all in one units. Because I'm always making changes to my computer, I didn't connect the dots back to the IE 7 installation. As I tried to fix Director, my computer became ever more unstable until I had to reformat and reinstall everything, which made me rather unhappy- especially not knowing what caused the problem. So, I was happy to read in the Feb. issue of PC World that this is a known problem- IE7 causes the Director program to fail. On page 47, it does give an URL to a fix. So, beware of this bug, unless you like formatting and reinstalling everything! Joe |
